AMD Launches New Radeon RX 6750 Graphics Cards Aimed at 1440p Gaming

AMD has unveiled its Radeon RX 6750 GRE graphics cards in 10GB and 12GB variants, positioning the GPUs as affordable options for 1440p gaming.

The cards utilize AMD's RDNA 2 architecture and target mainstream gamers looking to upgrade from 1080p without spending premium prices.

The 12GB model is priced at $269 in the U.S. and ¥2,219 in China. The 10GB version costs slightly more at $289 and ¥2,379 in those markets respectively. Availability starts October 18th.

Though originally rumored as a China exclusive, AMD confirmed dollar pricing, signaling potential wider launch plans. Custom designs from board partners are also expected.

Spec-wise, the 12GB RX 6750 GRE features 40 compute units, 2560 stream processors, and 96MB infinity cache among other specs. The 10GB model is slightly cut down. Both push 1440p frame rates, according to AMD.

The new GPUs enter a crowded market, potentially competing with Nvidia's RTX 4060. They could also impact AMD's own RX 7600 sales. However, more competition generally benefits consumers through pricing and innovation.

Overall, the Radeon RX 6750 GRE introduces more options for mainstream gamers seeking smoother 1440p experiences without breaking the bank. AMD's pricing undercuts competing models, appealing to budget-conscious buyers. More real-world testing will better determine performance and value.
