Andrew Tate Wins Appeal, Released from Romanian Jail

Andrew Tate, a British-American internet personality and former kickboxer, was released from a Romanian jail on Friday, March 31, 2023, and placed under house arrest. He had been detained in December 2022 on suspicion of rape, human trafficking, and forming an organized crime group.

Tate, 36, has denied the allegations. He was released after the Bucharest Court of Appeal ruled in his favor on an appeal against a judge's decision to extend his detention for 30 days. The court said that there was no evidence to support the allegations against Tate and that he should be released from custody. However, the court also ordered Tate to remain under house arrest until April 29.

Fans trying to get a hold of Tate

Tate's release has been met with mixed reactions. Some people have welcomed his release, saying that he is innocent and that he should not have been detained in the first place. Others have expressed concern that Tate may flee the country if he is released from house arrest. Tate is due to appear in court again on April 29. It is not yet clear whether he will be charged with any crimes.
