Apple Nears Final Stages of iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 Development, iPhone 15 Launch Imminent

According to information from Bloomberg's trusted reporter Mark Gurman, sources within Apple are suggesting that the company is nearing the final stages of development for iOS 17 and iPadOS 17. These sources believe that the recently released eighth beta versions may essentially be the last iterations before the official release, barring any unexpected complications.

The eighth beta versions of these operating systems were made available to both developers and public beta testers in the previous week, closely following the rollout of the sixth and seventh betas. This accelerated release schedule indicates that Apple is swiftly approaching the finish line as it prepares to integrate iOS 17 into the forthcoming iPhone 15 models currently in production.

As for the expected release date of the iPhone 15, last year, Apple launched iPadOS 16 on October 24, which was more than a month after the public release of iOS 16. The decision to delay the release of its iPad software was aimed at allowing additional time for refining "Stage Manager," a new app window management system that had faced considerable criticism during the beta testing phase.

It is anticipated that iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 will make their debut shortly after the unveiling of the iPhone 15 series, set to occur during Apple's "Wonderlust" event scheduled for Tuesday, September 12. Apple intends to livestream the event on its website, YouTube, and the Apple TV app.
