Chappelle Slams Williams Over Viral Diss of Peers: 'Hurt People Hurt People'

Comedian Dave Chappelle criticized fellow comedian Katt Williams over comments Williams recently made insulting comedians like Kevin Hart and Ice Cube. In a viral interview on the Club Shay Shay podcast, Williams harshly criticized several Black comedians but did not call out any White comedians.

Chappelle spoke out against Williams while performing stand-up at the Hollywood Improv. He questioned why Williams would "draw ugly pictures" of other Black comedians when they are all just trying to improve their situations. Chappelle felt Williams crossed a line by publicly attacking his peers in a way that could damage their careers.

Impersonating Williams, Chappelle said "Fk this one, and fk that one, and f**k this one" in reference to Williams' comments. Chappelle said he never heard Williams acknowledge anything wrong in his own actions.

Chappelle added that he has faced difficulties in his career but never publicly attacked others. He told the audience that "Hurt people hurt people" but said he himself was hurt without hurting people. Chappelle suggested Williams' harsh words reflected deeper personal issues.
