Chris Hemsworth is back as Tyler Rake in Extraction 2, the sequel to the Netflix action thriller that was released in 2020. The film is set to be released on June 16, 2023.
In the first film, Rake was a black ops mercenary who was hired to rescue the son of an Indian crime lord. He succeeded in his mission, but was badly injured in the process. The sequel picks up with Rake recovering from his injuries and preparing for his next mission.
This time, Rake is tasked with rescuing the battered family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from the prison where they are being held. The mission will take Rake to new and dangerous places, and he will have to use all of his skills and training to succeed.
Extraction 2 is directed by Sam Hargrave, who also directed the first film. The film stars Chris Hemsworth, Golshifteh Farahani, Pankaj Tripathi, and David Harbour.
The film is produced by Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Mike Larocca, Chris Hemsworth, Patrick Newall and Sam Hargrave, with Angela Russo-Otstot, Jake Aust, Benjamin Grayson, Steven Scavelli, Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely as executive producers.
Extraction 2 is a must-see for fans of the first film, as well as fans of action thrillers in general. The film is sure to be a hit when it is released on Netflix on June 16, 2023.
