Andrew Tate, a British-American kickboxing champion and internet personality, has been released from house arrest in Romania pending trial on charges of human trafficking and rape.
Tate was arrested in December 2022 and placed under house arrest in Bucharest. He has denied all charges against him.
A Bucharest court ruled on Friday that Tate could be released from house arrest, but he must remain in Romania and report to the authorities regularly. He is also banned from contacting the two Romanian women who have accused him of rape.
Tate's trial is scheduled to begin in October 2023.
