Davido's 'Timeless': A Diverse and Engaging Album

Davido's fourth studio album, "Timeless," is a 17-track collection of Afrobeats, pop, and hip-hop songs. The album features collaborations with Skepta, Angelique Kidjo, Asake, Focalistic, and The Cavemen, among others.

The album was released on March 31, 2023, and has been met with positive reviews from critics. Many have praised the album's diversity of sound, as well as Davido's vocal performance.

The album's lead single, "Champion Sound," was released in November 2021 and was a commercial success. The song peaked at number one on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Other singles from the album include "Stand Strong," "Feel," and "In the Garden." These songs have also been successful, with "Stand Strong" reaching number two on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart and "Feel" reaching number three.

"Timeless" is a well-crafted album that showcases Davido's versatility as an artist. The album is sure to please fans of Afrobeats, pop, and hip-hop. Here are some of the things that I like about the album:

  • The diversity of sound. The album features a variety of genres, including Afrobeats, pop, and hip-hop. This makes the album more interesting and engaging to listen to.

  • Davido's vocal performance. Davido is a talented vocalist and he delivers a strong performance on the album. His vocals are clear and powerful, and he conveys a range of emotions throughout the album.

  • The collaborations. The album features collaborations with some of the biggest names in Afrobeats, including Skepta, Angelique Kidjo, Asake, Focalistic, and The Cavemen. These collaborations add to the diversity of the album and make it more interesting to listen to.

Here are some of the things that I don't like about the album:

  • The length. The album is 17 tracks long, which is a bit too long for my taste. Some of the songs could have been cut from the album to make it more concise.

  • The production. The production on the album is a bit too polished for my taste. I would have liked to hear a more raw and organic sound.

Overall, I think "Timeless" is a good album. It is well-crafted and features some great performances from Davido. However, I think the album is a bit too long and the production is a bit too polished.
