Fury Mocks Joshua's Desperation: "He's Clamoring for My Undercard Spot"

WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury hasn't held back in his response to his domestic rival, Anthony Joshua, regarding recent statements hinting at a potential 2024 doubleheader event.

Joshua is currently in the process of securing a match against former champion Deontay Wilder in the first quarter of 2024.

As per Joshua, the Saudi Arabian boxing regulatory body has shown interest in positioning his fight with Wilder as the co-featured attraction alongside Fury's undisputed bout with IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO champion Oleksandr Usyk.

Fury didn't hold back in deriding Joshua's remarks, suggesting that Joshua seems to be "clamoring" for a place on the card.

"It's rather embarrassing when you have a former heavyweight world champion clamoring for a fight, almost begging for a spot on the undercard," Fury candidly expressed to IFL TV.

"Is he acting like a child, or what? He wishes to be on my undercard? Him versus Wilder? A battle between the biggest underachievers? I suggest he finds his own stage."

Fury's highly anticipated clash with Usyk is tentatively set to occur in December in Saudi Arabia, although the exact date is yet to be confirmed.

Fury is poised for his return to the ring in Saudi Arabia this Saturday night, where he will face former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in a non-title crossover boxing match.

Usyk recently revealed in interviews that he plans to be present to witness Fury's performance in the fight. However, Fury is less than pleased, as he believes Usyk is trying to steal the spotlight.

"I say this, f--- Usyk. It’s not about him. This is the Tyson Fury show. It’s about me and Francis Ngannou," Fury asserted in an interview with The Daily Mail.

"The African King meets the Gypsy King, and we're going to throw down. So, anything that comes after that, will come after that. Anything before that is of no significance."
