LeBron James Named as Pharrell's Next Louis Vuitton Star

Basketball superstar LeBron James is the newest face of Louis Vuitton, following in the footsteps of Rihanna as the second celebrity to front the French luxury brand's advertising campaign under creative director Pharrell Williams.

Images of LeBron carrying Pharrell's signature yellow LV Speedy bag recently appeared on billboards in New York City on October 24th, likely hinting at Pharrell's upcoming second runway show for Louis Vuitton in early 2024.

While LeBron may not have Rihanna's innate sense of style, he brings instant name recognition and star power to the brand. LeBron has previously modeled for other LVMH labels like Rimowa luggage and often sports designer pieces from houses like Dior and Tiffany in his off-duty outfits.

Pharrell's debut Louis Vuitton runway show in June 2022 drew a front row packed with A-listers like Rihanna, Beyonce, Jay-Z, Zendaya, Lewis Hamilton, and Kim Kardashian. It was an impressive display of Pharrell's industry connections and his ability to attract top talent for the historic fashion label.

Rihanna and now LeBron are major gets for Pharrell as he puts his mark on Louis Vuitton. The basketball icon brings mass appeal and fame to the brand. His casting sparks curiosity about what other surprise celebrity Pharrell might tap next to represent Louis Vuitton.
