Madonna Fires Back After Fans Sue Her for Late Show Starts

Iconic pop star Madonna is defending herself after two disgruntled fans filed a lawsuit claiming she deliberately misled them on show times during her recent "Celebration Tour."

The fans allege that Madonna's December 13th concert at Brooklyn's Barclays Center started nearly two hours later than the scheduled 8:30 pm, forcing them to wait until 10:30 pm. They argue this "false advertising" continued at subsequent New York shows.

In a statement, Madonna's team contends there were simply "technical issues during sound check" that delayed the December 13th show by one hour until 9:30 pm. They plan to vigorously contest the legal action, noting that reviews of Madonna's sold-out European tour stops were overwhelmingly positive.

While accepting some responsibility for the single late start, Madonna denies the two-hour discrepancy claimed by the plaintiffs. The fans are seeking unspecified monetary damages, arguing they "would not have paid for tickets" had they known about the accurate start times.

Madonna remains one of music's most legendary live performers, routinely dazzling crowds globally even four decades into her career. But the Queen of Pop refuses to back down when fans cry foul, ready to let the courts decide if she violated consumer trust or simply experienced routine concert production snags.
