Manchester City Injury News: Foden, De Bruyne, Rodri Concerns Ahead of Luton Town Clash

As Manchester City prepare to host Luton Town in the Premier League, Pep Guardiola has a few injury concerns to contend with.

Phil Foden, Kevin De Bruyne, and Rodri are all nursing issues that could impact their availability for the weekend's match.

Foden was withdrawn as a precaution in City's midweek Champions League draw with Real Madrid, and Guardiola has refused to confirm if the midfielder will be fit to face Luton.

De Bruyne missed the Real Madrid game entirely due to a late illness, and the manager could not say for certain whether the Belgian has overcome the problem.

Rodri is dealing with fatigue after playing a heavy workload of minutes recently. Guardiola acknowledged the midfielder is "tired" and said he will decide whether to rest him against the Hatters.

Elsewhere, Kyle Walker and Nathan Ake also have question marks over their fitness. Guardiola provided updates on their status, but was not able to give definitive timelines for their returns.

With the Premier League title race so tight, Guardiola will be keen to have as many of his key players available as possible. However, he may need to carefully manage his squad's minutes and recovery, especially with an eye on the upcoming Champions League clash with Real Madrid.
