Comedian Mike Epps and NFL legend Shannon Sharpe settled their recent differences over a meal on Thursday in Indianapolis. The two met up at popular local soul food restaurant Kountry Kitchen, known as a favorite of both men.
Sharpe posted a photo on Instagram of the reconciliation, saying “We are good” and that no video or audio was required as proof. The meeting came after Sharpe took issue with jokes Epps made about him during a comedy routine.
Epps said he approached Sharpe with love and understanding at the restaurant. “We hugged. We shook hands. We talked and settled our differences as grown men,” Epps told the Indianapolis Star. He acknowledged making a mistake with the jokes and said Sharpe accepted his apology.
Looking ahead, Epps said he hopes to appear on Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast to further smooth things over. Both men are in town for high-profile roles related to NBA All-Star Weekend events.
Rather than let tensions linger, the two prominent figures handled matters out of the public eye over a shared appreciation for food and their Indianapolis roots.
