The band The Smile, comprised of Radiohead's Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood along with drummer Tom Skinner, have announced their second album titled 'Wall of Eyes.' It will be released on January 26, 2023 via XL Recordings.
The Smile have also shared a new music video for the album's title track, directed by renowned filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson and starring frontman Thom Yorke.
'Wall of Eyes' was recorded between Oxford and Abbey Road Studios and was produced by Sam Petts-Davies. It will feature string arrangements by the London Contemporary Orchestra.
This announcement comes after The Smile released two live albums and a new song called "Bending Hectic" earlier this year following their debut album 'A Light for Attracting Attention' in 2022.
The band will be touring Europe in March 2024 after completing a run of North American dates in 2023. The upcoming shows will mark The Smile's first concerts in Europe since forming.
With a new album on the way and an expanding tour schedule, The Smile continue their evolution as a project as they gear up to share more music and performances with fans in 2023 and beyond.
